Privacy Policy — STAK
Last updated: May 31, 2026
STAK ("the game", "we") is a free one-tap tower game available on the web and as a mobile app. We built it to be fun and respectful of your privacy. This policy explains what we store and why.
What we collect
- An anonymous player ID — a random identifier generated on your device to track your scores, diamonds, skins, and streaks. It is not linked to your real identity.
- A display name — only if you choose to enter one for the leaderboard. Use any name you like; it does not need to be your real name.
- Gameplay data — scores, perfects, diamonds, owned skins, and daily-quest progress, so we can run the leaderboard and save your progress.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate page views and traffic sources to understand how the game is used. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
What we do NOT collect
- No real names, emails, phone numbers, or accounts are required to play.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
How data is stored
Game progress and leaderboard entries are stored on our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Upstash) solely to operate the game. Local preferences are also kept in your browser/device storage.
Children
STAK does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no account or personal data is required, the game can be enjoyed without sharing identifying information.
Your choices
You can clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser/app storage, which resets your device's player ID. To request removal of a leaderboard entry, contact us below.
